The Greater Palm Springs Pride, November 4,5,6, 2005 This event is one of the largest in Palm Springs with attendance in excess of 40,000 each year. The celebration begins on the evening of November 4th (invitation only), with the festival opening at the Palm Springs Stadium (only a few minutes from our Vagabond Inn) at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 5th, continuing on Sunday, November 6th at 10:00 am. Tickets are available at the gate both days. Admission is free for children under 14, all others $10.00 per day. The highlight of the week-end, the Pride Parade, will step off at 10:00 am on Sunday from Alejo, South to Ramon Rd. Our hotel is located only 0.5 miles from the parade.

Museums Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert The museum provides children with a fun and safe experience. Palm Springs Desert Museum The museum features sculpture gardens, permanent and changing collections, along with concerts and classes. It is located at 101 Museum Dr, 1.8 miles north of our Palm Springs property. Coachella Valley Museum and Cultural Center Work of local artists, permanent collection of historical artifacts in 1926 adobe home. 10AM-4PM Wednesdays through Saturdays, 1-4PM Sundays, September through June. Mesquite, 0.8 miles north of our Palm Springs property. Anza-Borrego Desert State Park At 600,000 acres, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is the largest park in the United States. Wildlife and scenery can be seen by foot, vehicle or bicycle. Guided Jeep tours are also available. The park is located in Borrego Springs, 87.2 miles south of our Palm Springs property. Camelot Park Family Entertainment Center The park features miniature golf, bumper cars, and video games. It is located in Cathedral City at 67-700 E. Palm Canyon Dr, 4.4 miles southeast of our Palm Springs property. Joshua Tree National Park Joshua Tree National Park features granite formations, striking mountain ranges, and a variety of desert plants. The park is located north of Interstate 10 and east of Desert Hot Springs. The Living Desert Wildlife & Botanical Park The Living Desert features rare plants and animal life from deserts throughout the world. It is located in Palm Desert at 47-900 Portola Ave, 13.3 miles southeast of our Palm Springs property. Oasis Waterpark The Oasis Waterpark features a wave pool, waterslides, a river, and a spa. It is located at 1500 Gene Autry Trail, 5.7 miles northeast of our Palm Springs property. Palm Springs Aerial Tramway The tram takes passengers to Mountain Station, 8,516 feet above sea level. Beautiful views of the San Jacinto Mountains can be seen. Picnicking, horseback riding, and hiking are available at the top. The tramway is located at 1 Tramway Rd, 8.2 miles northeast of our Palm Springs property.
